On March 28, 2013, the former principal flutist of the Vienna Philharmonic, Prof. Wolfgang Schulz, died at the age of 67 after a grave illness. We mourn the passing of this great musician, one of the most renowned flutists of our times. Karl-Heinz Schütz, who succeeded him as principal flutist of the Vienna Philharmonic, will take over his part in this concert.
