Street music from the two Sicilies. A message passed
on by word of mouth from father to son from a world that slowly but
irrevocably has to give way to the onset of the modern age. In this
programme Accordone leaves aside the music of churches and palaces and
turns to an authentic and little known musical tradition of southern
Italy. Resonant singing becomes magical medicine.
