ABOUT THE PRODUCTION

Since the 2007–08 season, Daniel Barenboim has enjoyed a close cooperation with La Scala Milan, having been appointed Maestro scaligero. In 2012, he brings the orchestra and chorus of the renowned opera house to Salzburg for the first time, offering Verdi’s equally touching and breathtaking Messa da Requiem with an exquisite quartet of soloists.
