INFORMATION

In 1970 when the Greek composer Jani Christou lost his life in a tragic car accident the musical world took hardly any notice of the death of this eminent avant-garde outsider. It was not until some 25 years later that his apparently archaic, visionary, multi-media œuvre was “discovered”. Christou can indeed be regarded as one of the most exciting composers who see no distinct boundaries between the different arts.
