Penelope Scheidler was born in Salzburg in 1996 and works in Austria and abroad as a circus artiste and dancer. Her main disciplines are handstand performance, aerial acrobatics and acrobatic contortion. She began her training at the early age of four, studying with her mother, the dancer and dance teacher Sonja Scheidler. Doris Kirschhofer, with whom she performs regularly nationally and internationally, was her circus arts teacher. The artiste, choreographer and stage director Ulfried Kirschhofer taught her acting and circus arts. To this day, the two artists maintain a close and intense collaboration on various circus and theatre productions. Last year, Penelope Scheidler attended a further-education course in circus arts at the École Nationale de Cirque in Montréal, Canada. In 2011/12, the young artist was engaged by the legendary Circus Roncalli as a handstand and aerial artist.
