Luc Bondy was a playful and profound human being, an homme de lettres and a man of life. A lover, a player, a wise man.

( 5 Nov 2015 ) The fact that Salzburg is occasionally a magical place can be experienced first-hand by our youngest guests, as they discover this year’s children’s opera The Fairy Queen, produced especially for the Salzburg Festival. The audience is taken on a journey into the magical world of Titania, Queen of the Fairies. The opera, lasting approximately 60 minutes, has been conceived based on motifs from William Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream and Henry Purcell’s The Fairy Queen.

( 31 Jul 2015 ) One thing was clear immediately when Rolando Villazón appeared today on the Press Terrace of the Salzburg Festival: this would be an entertaining edition of our Terrace Talk series, for the Mexican artist’s temperament is legendary.
