Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
During the first scenic rehearsal for Tristan und Isolde at the RuhrTriennale in Bochum, Elisabeth Kulman suffered an accident on July 19, 2011. During the scenic rehearsal, she received a heavy blow directly to the larynx, which led to a total loss of voice, heavy swelling and bleeding near the vocal chords. It will probably take several weeks until she is recovered. Elisabeth Kulman is gravely injured by the accident and deeply regrets her cancellation for this year’s Salzburg Festival.
Instead of Elisabeth Kulman, Anna Larsson will perform in the Opening Concert with the Vienna Philharmonic:
Thursday, 28 July, 21.00, Großes Festspielhaus
Sunday, 31 July, 21.00, Großes Festspielhaus
