There’s so much I didn’t get a chance to tell you! I think it’s time for an abridged walk down memory lane. Cue the montage music, roll the highlight reel.
Arriving in Salzburg at the Hauptbahnhof followed by a cab ride from one of the more terrifying taxi drivers I’ve ever met.
Weeks of cold weather and rain – just the way I like it.
Trying as many different places for coffee as possible (black, no sugar).
Dinner at Bo’s house with his many wonderful wines.
Drinks at Murphy’s Law with my favorite Assistant Director/Bartender Caroline. Here’s a secret message I sent to her in rehearsal: Darryl weighs after me. Look, each arms! (Hint: say it without reading it.)
Arm-wrestling Chris at Triangel. Ok, this one didn’t happen because I could never work up the courage, but I watched Over the Top like 5 times in preparation.
My food coma at Bärenwirt. Kasnocken mit SPECK, need I say more?
Hiking the Kapuzinerberg all the way to the Franziskischlössl on one of the few days of sunshine in early August.
Anna’s impression of Russell Crowe as Maximus Decimus Meridius during pre-show make-up.
There are many, many more great moments from my time in Salzburg, and I’ll keep them close even as I go to the next town. Ah, the life of the travelling musician. Hopefully, someday soon the next town will be Salzburg again! I wish all of you much, much love. Thank you for everything!
