Once again, numerous Salzburg Festival productions are being recorded in cooperation with the exclusive media partners UNITEL CLASSICA, ORF, and ServusTV to broadcast via TV or radio on various stations. This presents a wonderful opportunity to experience the Salzburg Festival without purchasing tickets to the shows and sometimes these performances are aired live! Franz Welser-Möst on “Der Rosenkavalier”

Tonight sees the premiere of Richard Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier. From 6 pm onwards, Krassimira Stoyanova as the Feldmarschallin, Sophie Koch as Octavian, Mojca Erdmann as Sophie and Günther Groissböck, among others, will be on stage at the Großes Festspielhaus under the baton of Franz Welser-Möst. A heartfelt “Break a leg!” to all involved!

Der Rosenkavalier will be recorded by ORF in cooperation with UNITEL, NHK and Bayerischen Rundfunk in collaboration with the Salzburg Festival, the Viennese Philharmonics and CLASSICA and will be broadcast as follows:

21.08.2014 at 10:45 pm at BR
22.08.2014 at 6:00 pm at Medici TV

A recording of this opera will be broadcast by ORF on Samstag, August 02, at 7:30 pm on the Ö1 channel.
