This year, the Salzburg Puppet Theatre, which has now been an important part of Salzburg’s cultural life for 100 years and has resided in the halls of the former Hotel Mirabell since 1971, will be a feature of the Salzburg Whitsun Festival for the second time. In 2015, the company will be reviving their 2001 production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream after William Shakespeare for us – translated, directed and staged by the Berlin director Hinrich Horstkotte. The choreography is by Peter Breuer. Featuring music by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy – arranged and recorded by Franz-Josef Grümmer – this is a truly magical stage play.
Tickets are available at the Salzburg Puppet Theatre.
