Aaron-Casey Gould

The tenor Aaron-Casey Gould comes from Texas. He graduated from the Opera Studio of Vienna Volksoper, and is now a member of the company’s ensemble. He has been supported by the French Fondation Signature, and received second prize at the Concours international de chant des voix lyriques d’Afrique.

Concert engagements have taken him to the Maison de la Radio et de la Musique in Paris, the Baden-Baden Festspielhaus, Jazz at Lincoln Center and the Walter Hall in Toronto.

He made his debut with the New York City Opera in the world premiere of Iain Bell’s Stonewall and appeared in the Off-Broadway production For the Love of Friends. He also performed the role of Dee Legendary in Joseph N. Rubinstein’s House of Legendary in a production by the American Opera Project in Manhattan.

He has participated in HBO masterclasses with Bobby McFerrin and Renée Fleming and appeared in the short HBO film Pure.

At the Vienna Volksoper he has most recently sung Prince Caprice in Offenbach’s Le Voyage dans la lune, Alfred (Die Fledermaus) and Camille de Rosillon (Die lustige Witwe). In the 2024/25 season he will perform roles including Fenton in Otto Nicolai’s Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor.
