Adèle Charvet

The mezzo-soprano Adèle Charvet completed her singing training at the Paris Conservatoire. Her repertory includes parts such as the title role of Handel’s Serse, Hermione in Lully’s Cadmus et Hermione, Idamante (Idomeneo), Rosina (Il barbiere di Siviglia), the title role of Carmen, Ascanio in Berlioz’s Benvenuto Cellini, Sélysette in Dukas’s Ariane et Barbe-bleue, Mélisande in Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande and Stéphano in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette.

From early in her career she has performed at leading opera houses and concert halls such as the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, the Barbican Centre and the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, in London, the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse, the Paris Opéra, the Opéra Comique, the Opéra National de Bordeaux, the Opéra National de Lyon and the Aix-en-Provence and Verbier Festivals. She appears regularly in recital with the pianist Florian Caroubi.

Future engagements will include Angelina (La Cenerentola) in Toulouse and Giulietta in Zingarelli’s Giulietta e Romeo at the Opéra Royal in Versailles.
