Alexander Kravets

The Ukrainian tenor Alexander Kravets appears regularly at leading international opera houses, including the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, the Frankfurt Opera, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the Komische Oper and the State Opera in Berlin, Theater Bonn, the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège, the Grand Théâtre de Genève, the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, the Paris Opéra, the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam, the Teatro San Carlo in Naples and the Teatro Real in Madrid.

In the 2023/24 season he has appeared as Chekalinsky/Master of Ceremonies (The Queen of Spades) at the Semperoper in Dresden, Old Man/Sailor in Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Tale of Tsar Saltan at La Monnaie in Brussels, the Shabby Peasant in concert performances of Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District at Symphony Hall in Boston and at Carnegie Hall in New York, the Incredible (Andrea Chénier) at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and Altoum (Turandot) on tour to Japan with The Royal Opera under Antonio Pappano.

Future engagements include Second Jew (Salome) in Geneva, Sailor (The Tale of Tsar Saltan) in Madrid and Shabby Peasant at La Scala, Milan. Alexander Kravets made his Salzburg Festival debut in 2018 as Chekalinsky.
