Bekhzod Davrovnov was the Second Prize winner at Operalia 2021.

This 2024/25 season will see Bekhzod make a series of exciting house and role debuts including Alfredo Germont La traviata and Rodolfo La bohème at Dallas Opera, Sir Edgardo di Ravenswood Lucia di Lammermoor and Rodolfo La bohème at Dresden Semperoper and Duke of Mantua Rigoletto at Irish National Opera, before spending the Summer making his debut at Salzburger Festspiele.

Future seasons will see him continue to make exciting debuts at Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Opernhaus Zurich and make returns to The Metropolitan Opera, Bayerische Staatsoper and Wiener Staatsoper.

Recent highlights include Cassio Otello at Wiener Staatsoper, Don Ottavio Don Giovanni at Teatro di San Carlo, Prunier La rondine at The Metropolitan Opera, Alfredo Germont La traviata at Santa Fe Opera, Rodolfo La bohème at Prague State Opera, Rodolfo La bohème on the Glyndebourne Festival Opera Tour, Anatol Kuragin in a new Dmitri Tcherniakov production of War and Peace conducted by Vladimir Jurowski at Bayersiche Staatsoper and Aljeja The House of the Dead at Ruhrtriennale Festival.

Bekhzod is an alumnus of The State Conservatory of Uzbekistan where he debuted the roles of Duca di Mantova Rigoletto, Tamino Die Zauberflöte, and the title role in Les Contes d’Hoffmann. He subsequently joined the Opera Studio of the Alisher Navoi Opera and Ballet Grand Academic Theater in Tashkent where he sung Young Gypsy Aleko and Boyar Lykov in The Tsar’s Bride.

 Bekhzod was previously a member of the ensemble at The Bolshoi Theatre where highlights include La traviata, Beatrice et Benedict, Boris Godunov, The Tsar’s Bride, The tale of Tsar Salton and The Demon.
