Daria Kolisan

The soprano Daria Kolisan was born in Mykolaiv in Ukraine, and began lessons in singing, piano and bandura (a traditional Ukrainian string instrument) at the age of 12. At the age of 15 she joined Olga Paliy’s class at Mykolaiv Music College. In 2019 she won second prize (junior category) in the International Antonín Dvořák Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic, and in 2021 she won first prize in the same category in the International Wassyl Slipak Young Vocalists Competition in Lviv (Ukraine). She has also received grants that have enabled her to participate in masterclasses with Michael Kraus, Gabriele Rossmanith, Jennifer Condon, Sofia Soloviy and Zoryana Kushpler. She currently studies with Oleksandr Diachenko at the Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music in Kyiv, and with Michael Kraus in Vienna. In September 2022 Daria Kolisan appeared as a guest artist in a concert given by the Opera Studio of Vienna State Opera.
