Acclaimed for his interpretations of music from Bach to Boulez, pianist David Fray appears in the world’s most prestigious halls in recital, symphonic and in chamber music. He has collaborated with the greatest conductors, including Marin Alsop, Semyon Bychkov, Christoph Eschenbach, Paavo Järvi, Kurt Masur, Riccardo Muti, Yannick Nézet-Seguin, Esa-Pekka Salonen and Jaap van Zweden. He regularly performs with orchestras such as the Orchestre de Paris, the Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Paris, the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse, the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Deutsche Sinfonie-Orchester, Bayerische Rundfunk Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Cleveland, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago Symphonies, New York Philharmonic, London Philharmonic, Salzburg Mozarteum Orchester, Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, NHK Japan, Jerusalem Symphony.
He plays on distinguished stages, such as the Philharmonie de Paris, the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall, Musikverein in Vienna, as well as at the BBC Proms, the Aix-en-Provence Easter Festival, Prague Spring Festival, Gstaad Musical Summits.
2024/25 performances include the Orchestre National de France, Orchestra La Chrubini, Orchestre National d’Auvergne, Nürnberger Symphoniker, Orchestre de Mulhouse, Hamburg Staatsballett, Sinfonia Rotterdam, Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, Louisville Symphony, Tucson Symphony, Savannah Philharmonic, and the Royal Northern Sinfonia and Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne in play & conduct programs.
In recital Fray appears at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris and elsewhere in France, Italy, Latvia, China, Taiwan, Korea, and Japan, as well as Switzerland, Hungary, and Poland with soprano Cecilia Bartoli.
