Elionor Martínez

The soprano Elionor Martínez was born in 1996 in Barcelona and completed her Bachelor’s degree at the Conservatori del Liceu in her home city, studying with Dolors Aldea and supported by a scholarship from the Ferrer-Salat Music Foundation. Support from this foundation also allowed her to undertake a Master’s degree with Marcel Boone at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel, from where she graduated in summer 2023.
As a soloist she has appeared in repertory including Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s Magnificat, Vivaldi’s Gloria, Mozart’s Mass in C minor and Requiem and Brahms’s Ein deutsches Requiem.

Her operatic repertory includes Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, Cimarosa’s Il convito, Mozart’s Così fan tutte and Rossini’s La Cenerentola. She has worked with the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Hermes Helfricht and with the Bachcelona Consort under Ton Koopman. She has also given recitals as part of the Junge Musiker Stiftung (Young Musicians’ Foundation) and taken part in the Mizmorim Chamber Music Festival in Basel.
Elionor Martínez regularly performs with La Capella Reial de Catalunya under the direction of Jordi Savall, and with the Collegium Vocale Gent under Philippe Herreweghe. Elionor Martínez is the winner of the Salvat Beca Bach grant 2016, awarded in Barcelona.
