Marie-Luise Stockinger, born in Upper Austria in 1992, completed her acting training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. At the International Theatre Schools Festival in Warsaw in 2015, she was awarded the ‘Best Leading Role Award’ for her portrayal of Lulu.

Marie-Luise Stockinger has been a member of the Vienna Burgtheater ensemble since 2015. In 2017, she was nominated for the Nestroy Theatre Prize as ‘Best Young Female’. At the 2018 Romy Awards, she was honoured in the ‘Best Young Female’ category for her portrayal of Maria Theresa in the film adaptation of the same name by Robert Dornhelm. In 2021, she was nominated for the Nestroy Theatre Award for ‘Best Leading Actress’ in Lucy Kirkwood’s Das Himmelszelt (director: Tina Lanik).

She has worked with Andrea Breth, Herbert Fritsch, Barbara Frey, Martin Kušej, Sebastian Nübling and Frank Castorf, among others. In addition to her work at the Burgtheater, she can also be seen in various television films and series.
