Paul Blackman is an Australian-born choreographer and movement director. After having a distinguished international dance career and being one of the first members of the Dancing to Connect program, which has now reached over 52 countries worldwide, Paul is currently co-artistic director of the Jukstapoz Company, based in Athens, Greece. He is known for his innovative and vibrant choreography, having collaborated with numerous international dance companies, theatres, and festivals, such as Göteborgs Danskompani, National Theatre Mannheim, St. Gallen Dance Company, Venice Biennale, Sadlers Wells, Athens Epidaurus Festival and the Onassis Cultural Centre.

Paul Blackman has been responsible for choreography and movement direction in numerous opera productions, creating powerful, evocative performances at prestigious venues, including the Salzburg Festival, Teatro alla Scala, Wiener Staatsoper, the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, Theater Kiel and the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron). His choreographic career has enabled him to work with a wide range of artists, including Jan Lauwers, David Zambrano, Matthias Hartmann, Jasmin Vardimon, Alexandra Liedtke, Jozef Frucek, Linda Kapetanea, Jonathan Hollander, and Susan Quinn.

In addition to his choreographic achievements, Paul is passionate about sharing his experiences and knowledge by leading workshops and masterclasses at festivals and institutions worldwide. His artistic vision continues to inspire and shape the future of modern and contemporary dance.
