Sara Blanch

Light lyric soprano Sara Blanch was born in Darmós in Spain and studied classical and Spanish dance, as well as the piano and choral singing. She graduated with a degree in singing from the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona and made her operatic debut in 2013 at the Rossini Opera Festival as Folleville (Il viaggio a Reims).

Having won recognition at various competitions, including the Concurs Internacional de Cant Montserrat Caballé in 2014, the Josep Mirabent i Magrans in 2015 and the Tenor Viñas Contest in 2016, where she won eight awards, Sara Blanch has appeared at various leading theatres and festivals. Recent appearances include the Liceu and the Palau de la Música in Barcelona, the Teatro Real and the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, the Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo, the Teatro Regio in Turin, the Teatro Verdi in Salerno, the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Castell de Peralada Festival, the Musiques en fête Festival at the Théâtre Antique d’Orange, Fauteuils d’orchestre at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome and the Rossini in Wildbad Festival.

Sara Blanch has already established an extensive repertoire, including notable roles such as Norina (Don Pasquale), Fiorilla (Il turco in Italia), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte), Adèle (Le Comte Ory) and the title roles in Lucia di Lammermoor and Matilde di Shabran. In addition to her operatic appearances, she is regularly heard in concert, performing in oratorio, as well as giving song recitals. Her forthcoming projects include further appearances at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, as well as the Donizetti Opera Festival in Bergamo, the Teatro del Maggio Muiscale Fiorentino and the Opéra national de Lorraine.
