Sebastian Rudolph, born in Berlin in 1968, was a permanent ensemble member at the Thalia Theatre from 2009/10 to 2018/19, where he had working relationships with Nicolas Stemann, Jette Steckel, Luk Perceval, Stefan Pucher and Johan Simons, among others. In 2012, Sebastian Rudolph was voted Actor of the Year for his Faust in Stemann’s “Faust I+II” in the annual critics’ survey conducted by the magazine “Theater heute”. He has been part of the Thalia theatre ensemble for the longest time and continues to play “Das achte Leben (Für Brilka)” in Jette Steckel’s production. In 2019, he moved to the Schauspielhaus Zürich with Nicolas Stemann, where he had already worked under Christoph Marthaler. Further engagements have taken him to Basel, Vienna and Berlin, where he made guest appearances at the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz, the Berliner Ensemble, the Deutsches Theater and the Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz. He has worked with the directors Christoph Marthaler, Falk Richter, Stefan Pucher, Nicolas Stemann, Luc Bondy, Robert Wilson and was Christoph Schlingensief’s “Hamlet” at the Schauspielhaus Zurich.
