Wolfgang Götz and Regina Sgier have been artistic directors of the Salzburg Festival and Theatre Children’s Choir since 2008.
Wolfgang Götz has worked as a conductor and head of music at houses including Theater Basel, the Wuppertal Opera, the Opéra de Lille, the Teatro La Fenice in Venice and the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Mumbai. In 1996 he assisted Claudio Abbado on a production of Verdi’s Otello at the Salzburg Easter Festival, and he was senior répétiteur on the Mozart trilogy Irrfahrten at the 2006 Salzburg Festival. He is currently head of music at the Salzburg Landestheater.
Regina Sgier has appeared as a singer at the Salzburg Festival, the Salzburg Mozartwoche, the Wiener Festwochen and the Zurich Festival. She teaches singing and vocal training for children at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.
