Salzburg Festival Makers | Ismaila Jobe

Our series on “Salzburg Festival Makers” features the various faces behind the scenes of the Salzburg Festival.

Ismaila Jobe, also known as Isi in our company, is one of our festival makers who is working in the building services department. He has been with the company for two years and has been making life easier for our employees ever since by being on hand when something needs to be repaired or painted, for example.

He tells us that this can be a lot of fun at work in his “Festspielmoment”, when he and his colleagues were painting a room and colour ran off the walls, creating a big mess and they had to clean everything up again.

He compares the Festival to a dog, because he feels the openness of the Salzburg Festival towards all people and therefore loves to show it. Find out in the interview why else he appreciates the Festival so much.
